Tzee Hong and Miss Chye Hong within Chinese section. An uncommon title, OCLC lists but one institutional copy of a 1950 Second Edition and later 1959, 1960 printings. This copy an undated printing with no edition noted (at least within the English section). Several sections have dates; the latest is an appreciation of the compiler authored by Soo Ying and Written on New Year's Eve in 1947. ; 5-1/4" x 7-1/2"; 105, [2], 77 pp; Covers worn and lightly soiled, small loss to spine covering at bottom, staples rusted, a few pages with light soiling, a few pages with brief annotations (mostly pencil, most heavily annotated within Glossary), Diagrams each have closed tears where partly separated from binding (about an inch each).

Soiling to cloth (more on the rear board than the front), first three leaves with tape repairs (including across left part of title page), resulting in minor losses of readability of no more than a few characters, a long-ago ink spill created a brown marginal stain on the last 60 pages. The text is not impacted, but the last few sheets are brittle where the ink stain is located. Scattered foxing to a few pages, but no apparent writing or ownership markings.

Portfolio bound in gray paper with beige cloth spine, front pastedown label. Contents are 14 four-page leaflets. The first contains the title page and a description of The Small Modern House vs. the Large Old-Fashioned House. The second discusses The Value of Real Working Drawings as furnished by Weyerhaeuser Forest Products and has 3 pages of sample drawings. The remaining 12 sections each describe a house including floor plans, elevation, street views and a cross section; each architect is named as well. The title page is not dated; each plan has a 1926 copyright. ; 8-1/2" x 11-1/4"; Portfolio label toned and chipped along edge, corners worn, lacking front silk tie. Leaflets lightly soiled along edges with creases on the Value leaflet and small marginal closed tears on the title page and one other leaf.
