"This is a complete and authentic history of labour in the United States based on original sources." Later volumes would be issued in the series (1935) but would spell labor (without the "u") in the title. Red cloth hardcover, gilt titling, yellow dust jackets with explanatory text. Uncommon in the original dust jacket. ; 6 x 9"; xxv, 623 + xx, 600 pp; This is as nice a set as you will find. The books have slightly bumped corners and a bit of darkening of the endpapers, but they have bright covers and gilt titling, solid hinges, and no writing or page wear. The dust jackets have chips at edges and creases, a bit worse on Volume II as there is also a closed tear. The jackets are encased in protective Brodart jackets to prevent further damage.
