This loaded team went on to win the Series. Casey Stengel was Manager; Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Billy Martin, Elston Howard and Don Larsen were all on this team. Larsen would pitch a Perfect Game in the 1956 World Series. This program also lists Enos Slaughter as starting Left Fielder; Slaughter joined the team on August 25th, when he was claimed off waivers from the Kansas City Athletics. This program thus date to September 3rd, when the Yankees played two games against the Orioles. Stapled self-wraps, illustrated, printed in blue and orange, advertising; 5-3/4" x 9-3/4"; [24] pp; Stains in four places on rear panel (as where this program was once attached in an album); staining does not bleed through to inside of cover. Otherwise very little wear, sharp corners, clean and unmarked within.
