Undated, late 1880s.; Oblong , 10-3/4" x 9" (27,3 x 23 cm); 48 pp; Boards soiled, worn at top/bottom of spine and at lower right corner. Both hinges are loose, cracked at title page held together only by cords, visibly cracked at rear endpapers as well. Pages show a faint wave along top edge (no staining) and have generally light (though with occasional larger spots of) foxing. No inscriptions or writing apart from old sellers pencil notations inside rear cover.

With an Introduction by Elizabeth Robins Pennell. Publishers brown cloth, front cover with pastedown haveing illustration and lettering, Introduction, List of Illustrations, and the illustrations presented one per page printed front side only. ; 7" x 10"; 137 pp; This was the copy of Evelyn and Tracey Cuttle. Front flyleaf with presentation inscription to the Cuttle's from Jane Lennox (and with a childs scribbles). The first illustration has another inscription from Ms. Lennox. Dr. Tracey Donald Cuttle [Captain, USN] and his wife Evelyn [Roeding] frequently entertained guests. From 1933 until 1955 (with some final 1976 notes) guests added their comments and signature to the verso of the illustration pages (and some fronts - 35+ pages). The book appears to have traveled with the Cuttles, and some of the inscriptions are from Oakland, Hawaii, Japan, etc.; Soiling to covers, fraying to corners, solid hinges, soiling and light edgewear to title page, extensive annotations to verso of pages as described below.
