They offer inside the front flap: "As Truth cannot be purchased, this book is a gift for you in exchange for your contribution which will be used to build a much needed educational center for Black men in Chicago." ; 5-3/4" x 8-1/4"; 123+199 pp; Books have very little wear, solid bindings, clean and unmarked pages. Jackets edgeworn with small closed tears (up to 1") and slight rubbing, small toned area (as where a sticker once was), protected by mylar covers.

Jacket is ever-so-slightly faded (we can see where a label was removed from the front panel revealing the slight color difference), very slight wear along bottom edge, protected by mylar cover.

A later Greenwood Press reprint can be found more readily. ; A copy that has been well-used but not abused. Darkening to spine, rubbing along spine edges, fraying, bumped corners, front hinge a bit tender, title page with some soiling and creasing, prior owner name inked inside rear cover, pp 23-24 were marked with a straight pin (now removed) but the pin left tiny holes and damage to adjacent pages, text generally clean (teo pages with faint pencil lines at margin).
