COUNTY RECORDER'S FEE BOOK for CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, California, 1908 [Contra Costa County, California] 1908 Hardcover Very Good with no dust jacket The original county recorders fee book for 1908 (evidently not retained by the county). Entries cover transactions for persons in Martinez, Richmond, Point Richmond, Concord, Berkeley, Oakland, Crockett, Clayton, Petauma, and many other communities in and around Contra Costa County. Handsome and large red leather binding with suede insets, black spine labels, gold tooling, decorative endpapers, handwritten entries date from January 2, 1908 to December 31, 1908 and are written into 235 of the 275 pages. Quite heavy; shipping will be extra. ; 12 x 16"; Binding has a few nicks here are there but remains in quite attractive condition. The leather remains supple apart from the spine labels which exhibit cracking. Hinges remain solid, last page soiled, remaining pages appear clean and free of tears or substantial wear.
