Publishers blue cloth, gilt lettering to spine, decorative blue endpapers, b&w illustrations are from the "Recollections of a Drummer-Boy," by kind permission of Messrs. Ticknor & Co., publishers. ; 5-1/4" x 7-1/2"; 199 pp; Wear to edges and corners of covers, front hinge tender though not weak or visibly cracked, a few pages have spots, but many pages have pencil marks. This book was studied with a faint pencil. Mostly the pages have brief marginal lines by each paragraph; a few pages have much more, with underlining and marginal inscriptions. Most of the pencil annotations could be removed.

Offered are two editions of this manual. The first is stapled at the left and does not have the form number on the cover-only on the pages. It is crudely produced, having a blue paper cover, poor page quality, a rear cover and pages trimmed by hand. etc. The second copy is bound with a shoelace at the left, has blue coated card stock covers, more pages and superior print quality. Neither manual has a publication date, but all pages in both manuals are dated 12-8-42. ; Oblong, 10" x 6-1/4"; Earlier copy with update page and List of Operational Aircraft laid in, minor cover wear, later copy also with minor cover wear.
